The 1st RMSCL showing was a complete success.  9 participants moved chess from, “hobbies and interest” to, “Accomplishments” on their High School, College, and Employment applications.  RCI is proud to be making a difference in these young people’s lives.

To date, RCI is still the sole active sponsor to the day in and day out expenses of the league.  We need uniforms, and money to pay the coaching staff.  We will recognize any contributions made on the site.  If you can, please help!

Please thank the VSCA for their donation of 9 USCF,( United States Chess Federation) memberships and 9 tournament entry fees for this event!!  Thanks to the parents for working as a team to ensure the kids were nourished and refreshed between rounds!

Look for more great news coming soon.
