Colonial Trail Winter Session

Session 2 Course Description: Each week beginners and intermediates will be given challenges on their ability to select good moves. Intermediate players will be exposed to longer combinations, openings, and the basics of endgame play. Beginners will get special attention using our chess toys to give retention and ease of learning! All participants will receive a custom study guide that can be used over and over again to deepen their understanding of the course material.
Wednesdays from 2:50 pm until 4:30 pm from January 15th until March 18th

Equipment:
Participants are to bring a 70 page notebook and a chess clock if they own one. Sets will be provided.  Classes are held at the school. A snack of some kind is strongly suggested.

Cost:

Support:  A parent is needed each week to take roll, and release children to parents.  Supporting parents earn their child a chess Life magazine when they visit!

Parents must complete a transportation form so that the school knows how your child is getting home.
